Marina Buteler: Transforming Business Communication
Because I have followed in my mom's footsteps, English has always been part of my life. I remember repeatedly begging her to take me to Cultura Inglesa from a very early age. When I turned seven my wish finally came true, and I officially began my journey as a lifelong learner of English.
Most people say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, right? Having someone raise me to be critically curious and inquisitive about the language has definitely contributed to this everlasting learner behavior. I'll always be immensely grateful for that and will forever pass the torch to every learner I encounter.
By the time I took the C1 Advanced Certificate, I began my first teaching job at a language institute. I was eighteen back then and had students ranging from kids to elderly. Even though I'd have butterflies in my stomach every time I taught them, deep down I knew teaching was my calling. This early experience planted the seeds for what would later evolve into my work as a Business English & General English Mentor, where I now help professionals transform their executive presence.
As I'm always telling students, learning has its challenges. Throughout my journey preparing for the C2 Proficiency exam, I faced many obstacles. Despite having what it takes, I just couldn't pass at first. Fortunately, I've had helpful tutors who restored my confidence - an experience that now directly informs my business English mentoring approach, where I combine exam strategies with real-world executive communication skills.
Apart from having a BA in education, I also hold degrees in Social Communication and Drama, plus the Cambridge CELTA certification. This unique blend allows me to serve as a Business English & General English Mentor, addressing not just language accuracy but leadership presence, persuasive messaging, and authentic professional storytelling.
Being dedicated to lifelong learning, I've consistently taken professional development courses. This commitment to growth is why I'm passionate about mentoring professionals through customized business English transformation - where pedagogical expertise meets real corporate challenges.
